DATA ENGINEER (Contract Position – Hybrid):
This group is seeking an Intermediate Data Engineer who is looking for their next challenge. As an Intermediate Data Engineer, you will be working closely with the studio business leaders, data scientists, analysts, designers, and producers to build out the data infrastructure to support their ability to answer important questions about our players.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Typical day
- Deliver high-quality, well-tested, secure, and maintainable code.
- Design, develop, optimize, and maintain data pipelines and back-end services for reporting, optimization, data collection, and related functions.
- Create and manage automated unit and integration test suites, to ensure accuracy and completeness of data.
- Experiment with and recommend new technologies that simplify or improve the tech stack.
- Designing efficient data structures and database schemas and working with distributed systems architecture.
- Writes efficient, readable, extensible code from scratch that spans multiple features/solutions.
- Suggest, develop and implement performance monitoring protocols across data pipelines.
- Develop and maintain documentation and guides on procedures and features.
- Performs root cause analysis in response to detected problems/anomalies to identify the reason for alerts and implement solutions that minimize points of failure.
- Collaborate with data scientists, developers, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and develop solutions.
REQUIREMENT: HARD SKILL
- 3+ years of experience in big data engineering, with a focus on Spark and SQL.?
- Preferred Qualifications BEST vs Average
- Experience working with large data sets using SQL/Azure Data Lake/Spark, etc., to derive actionable insights is highly desirable.
- Experience with Azure Dev Ops (yaml pipelines)
- Experience with Azure Databricks (python, pyspark, spark sql)
- Experience with Azure Data Factory (c#)
- Experience with Azure Data Explorer (kql/csl)
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $60.65 – $63.82. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
