Job Description

This position is located at Yosemite National Park, CA, which is located approx. 2.5 hours from Fresno, CA. This is an in-person role.

 

The Cash Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the management of the organization?s cash flow, including the safekeeping, storage, and transportation of physical cash, as well as ensuring compliance with all relevant policies, security procedures, and regulations. This role ensures the proper handling of cash in various forms, including currency, coins, and negotiable instruments, while also coordinating with various internal and external departments to ensure the smooth operation of cash management activities. This is a full-time role, reporting to the Senior Controller.

COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position ranges from $70,000 to $80,000, depending on circumstances including an applicant?s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). This is Aramark?s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities

  • Managing a staff of 4-5 cash ops attendants with key areas covering:
  • Daily Cash Pickups around the park
  • Change Orders
  • Cashier Deposits
  • Bank and Vault Audits
  • Impress Banks
  • Back-up driver for the daily cash pickups when not fully staffed.
  • Set performance expectations for the team, conduct performance evaluations, and foster a culture of accountability and accuracy.
  • Develop training materials and conduct ongoing staff development sessions on best practices in cash management and security.
  • Oversee the daily operation of the cash vault, ensuring that cash is securely stored and accessible only to authorized personnel.
  • Manage cash reserves to ensure there is adequate cash on hand to meet business needs while minimizing surplus.
  • Track cash flow within the organization and ensure that records are updated and accurate.
  • Reconcile cash balances at the end of each shift or period and report discrepancies.
  • Will lead weekly Cash Handling Trainings for on-site Supervisors, Managers, and all staff handling cash.
  • Enforce strict security protocols related to the handling, storage, and transportation of cash.
  • Ensure that all vault activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and legal regulations (e.g., anti-money laundering, financial reporting).
  • Monitor access to cash vaults and initiate background checks on personnel with access.
  • Approve cash disbursements and monitor cash-in-transit operations to prevent theft or errors.
  • Ensure that cash-handling processes (such as cash deposits, withdrawals, and transfers) are carried out efficiently and accurately.
  • Prepare and review detailed reports on cash movements, vault activity, and reconciliations for internal and external auditing purpose, to Fresno Accounting office.
  • Participate in audits and ensure all required documentation and processes are readily available for review.
  • Work with other departments to streamline cash management processes, reduce errors, and improve overall workflow.
  • Partner with HR regarding any employee cash handling concerns/issues.
  • Work with Operations Leadership to implement best practices and improving current process around cash handling.
  • Working closely with all profit center managers to ensure proper cash handling procedures are being followed.
  • Collects Surprise Cashier Audits each month and sends to Senior Controller.

Qualifications

?    Education: Bachelor?s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
?    Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong analytical skills, and ability to relate to managers, executives, clients, auditors, etc. in a professional and courteous manner.
?    Strong computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
?    Excellent organizational and time management skills
?    Some travel required ? mainly within Yosemite National Park. CA Driver?s License required.
?    Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies. 
?    Leadership and team management capabilities. 
?    Ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situations.
