As a Resident Engineer, you will utilize your experience and technical knowledge of municipal infrastructure, water and wastewater facilities and general building projects to successfully execute and manage programs, under the supervision of the Project Manager or Project Executive and help us build and grow our practice in the area.Role accountabilities:Manage the firm’s day-to-day construction oversight/Resident Engineering efforts on major municipal contracts.Manage inspection staff and the delivery of daily inspector reports in accordance with clients’ requirements. Act as liaison to design staff for response to Contractor RFI's and review of shop drawings.Provide technical review of construction plans and specifications and project changes for constructability and practicality.Provide project document management including all record keeping, general correspondence, logs, compiling, drafting finalizing required reports and deliverables, red-line as-built drawings and contract close-out documents.Responsible for monitoring contractor compliance with its Health and Safety Program/Plan, CM site safety, monitoring of permit compliance tasks and coordination with Regulatory Agencies and City Departments.Monitoring overall Contractor performance, adherence to the project schedule, responsiveness to directives and effectiveness in completing the work. Mange the Special Inspection process (scheduling, inspection record keeping and re-inspections as necessary) for the special inspections designated by the Design Engineer.   Use of effective oral and written communication skills to effectively lead progress, project, safety, scheduling, coordination and other contract administration meetings with client, Contractor(s), regulatory agencies and the community.Supervise subconsultant staff for completion of required tasks, personnel scheduling, timesheet approval, and completion of daily sign-in/sign-out logs.Responsible for supervising ARCADIS staff as necessary, including development of Professional Development plans, tracking career progress, mentoring, advocating for and approving timesheets and training/development requests.Qualifications & Experience:8 or more experience as an Asst. Resident Engineer or Resident Engineer for Water or Wastewater Treatment Process Wick’s Law projects greater than $10M.Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.Demonstrated commitment to providing a safe and healthful workplace.Proficiency with MS Office Suite (particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint).10-Hour OSHA Training Preferred Qualifications:10 or more years of experience as Resident Engineer for Water or Wastewater Treatment Process Wick’s Law projects greater than $25M.Professional Engineer - New York (active)Certified Construction Manager (CCM) CertificationActive participation in a regional or national professional associations.Proficiency with Primavera and/or MS Project.30-Hour OSHA Training Continue your career journey as an Arcadian.We can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
