The Technical lead will work closely with the rest of the Arch Re product management team and business peers to effectively execute Business Intelligence project initiatives. This person should be able to deliver in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.Job ResponsibilitiesLead development and maintenance of Reinsurance BI ApplicationCollaborate with internal and external technology and business partners to implement product changesCritically analyze business requirements, architect, and implement BI solutions.Produce detail design, guide junior developers, review code and test results, as requiredDefine, develop and maintain effective BI solutionsProvide Production support as required.Work closely with product manager to develop and execute action plans to address gapsRecommend innovations that enhance and/or provide a competitive advantage to the organizationCommunicate effectively with both the business and technical teamsDesired SkillsDevelopment Experience working with Power BISQL or Python development expertiExperience working with Data bricks, Snowflake and ADFExperience working in Azure environment.Experience working in insurance or reinsurance industryExperience with agile methodologiesExperience working with DatawarehouseExperience working with external data feed to enrich internal data- desiredExperience with data conformance processExperience with CICD processExperience building business intelligence solution to support finance, underwriting and pricing.Experience working in SOX and SOC-2 compliant environment.Experience monitoring and supporting production environmentStrong understanding of technologies utilized in the industry and the ability to see their impact as well as enhancement management and product lifecycle developmentKnowledge of source code version control systems such as Git including branching/merging, resolving code conflicts, and 3-way and baseless mergesRelevant experience working with 3rd party vendors to deliver resultsRequired Education/Experience Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, or related field requiredMinimum of 5+ years of BI Development experience.Hands-on development Experience using PowerBI.Development experience using DAXDevelopment experience using Databricks and Snowflake or equivalent.Experience in a Reinsurance, Insurance or financial organization.Good Analytical and Communication Skills#LI-Hybrid#LI-ZP1For individuals assigned or hired to work in California, Colorado, Hawaii, Jersey City, NJ; New York State; and/or Washington State, the base salary range is listed below. This range is as of the time of posting.
