The ideal candidate will be patient, compassionate, and able to follow detailed instructions. A Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification and a commitment to ongoing professional development are required.
As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you will assist in implementing behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Your primary role is to work directly with clients to support their development and help them achieve their behavioral goals. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the modification of intervention strategies based on collected data and feedback from the supervising BCBA.
- Delivering one-on-one behavior therapy sessions to clients based on the individualized treatment plans developed by a BCBA.
- Observing and documenting client behavior, progress, and responses to interventions.
- Attending training sessions and supervision meetings to enhance skills and ensure adherence to ethical and professional standards.
- Supporting clients in developing and enhancing communication, social, and daily living skills.
- Maintaining a positive and encouraging environment to foster client engagement and progress.
- Implementing behavior interventions and data collection procedures as outlined in the client’s behavior plan.
