Position:General Laborer

Location:Wailuku, HI

Pay: $24.50/hour

Experience: Related experience is desired

Type: Full-time; Direct Hire

Schedule: Monday - Friday, Day Shift

Employers Options is seeking a General Laborer to join a community-based team for Maui disaster recovery!

Job Description:

• Support professional staff in delivering various manual laborer services to the public
• Participate in the cleanup of roads, parks, buildings, etc.
• Distribute food, water, clothing and other household essentials
• Arrange for housing and collection
• Maintain a high level of customer service to ensure that the host site and recipients needs are met
• Attend orientation, training, and team meetings following your established training plan

Position Requirements:

• Must have been laid off due to wildfires, have not had paid work or training in the last 4 weeks, or worked 30 hours per week of paid work in the previous 4 weeks.
• Desire to understand and help individuals with diverse cultural backgrounds, various social and economic levels, and/or disabilities.
• Ability to type and complete data entry duties.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, which include, written, verbal and listening.
• Effective team player with strong communication skills.
