We are looking for a Mechanic to report to one of our off-site work lots to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs on an assigned fleet of vehicles. We will have a Drop-A-Shop stationed onsite with all the necessary tools, parts, and inventory tailored to the fleet of vehicles. An ideal candidate will work well independently but with strong communication skills in order to get the job done right and keep the Service Team informed.
*Mechanic Job Duties*
* Review work orders to evaluate the tasks required and inspect vehicles for proper performance
* Run diagnostic tests on gas engines and interpret the results to offer suitable solutions
* Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with industry standards
* Communicate with the Service Team to obtain needed parts
* Save and tag parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer
* Examine assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended
* Communicate with the Service Team if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time
* Document all work performed and make recommendations on the repair order
* · Road tests vehicles when required
* · Report machinery defects, malfunctions, or safety issues to management
* · Participate in training programs, classes and events as requested

*Qualifications*
* High School Diploma or GED
* Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience
* CDL preferred but not required
* Experience with heavy-duty trucks and engines
* Valid driver’s license
* Ability to work in a high performance, fast-paced team environment

Pay: $69,160.00 - $111,075.00 per year

* 10 hour shift
* 8 hour shift
* Day shift
* Monday to Friday
* No nights
* Overtime
* Rotating weekends
Experience:
* auto repair: 3 years (Required)
Ability to Relocate:
* Wilmington, DE: Relocate before starting work (Required)
