Job Type Full-time Description What You'll Do: As the P8-A Acoustic Systems Training Specialist, you will assist our P-8 Training Integrated Product Team (IPT) in the development of P-8 training and delivery of P-8 training services. In this role, you will use your experience in Acoustic and ASW systems acquisition, technical documentation review, and training systems to execute the following responsibilities: * Developing P-8A training materials to include: Scenario Design Documents, Lesson Design Strategies, Master Curriculum Schedules, storyboards, scenario briefs, scenario timelines, Instructor Guides, and Student Guides
* Participating in developing enabling objectives (teaching points), learning objectives, performance objectives, and module/lesson strategies
* Developing SCORM compliant Interactive Multi-Media Instruction (IMI) and Computer Based Training (CBT) to include: Interactive Courseware (ICW) level 1 and level 2, PowerPoint presentations, and training events/scenarios, for all levels of MPRA students
* Developing products to evaluate trainee knowledge and performance
* Reviewing and ensuring quality, technical correctness, and instructional design of draft and final training products
* Providing classroom, aircraft, and simulator training as required
* Performing onsite training device support (operator and trainer) as required
* Interacting with system developers and engineering teams to develop performance and acceptance test procedures for P-8A training devices based upon user requirements to produce training systems that meet customer's needs
* Supporting the P-8A test events at NAS Patuxent River, MD, and Orlando, FL., the Fleet Introduction Team (FIT) in Jacksonville, FL, Whidbey Island, WA, and at additional bases for Fleet training as needed This job description is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties and responsibilities. It is intended to describe the general nature of the position. Requirements Education and Experience: * 12 years related experience in maritime patrol aircraft is desired. An additional 4 years of related technical experience may be substituted for 2 years of military experience.
* Completion of the Naval Instructor Training Course is required
* Weapons Tactics Instructor qualification required
* In-depth knowledge of P-8A Acoustic Systems required
* Next Generation Threat Simulation (NGTS) Software SME knowledge
* Instructor experience is required
* Fleet Replacement Squadron (FRS), Maritime Patrol Reconnaissance Weapons School, or WTU experience is required
* A minimum of 2500 hours in Maritime Patrol aircraft is desired
* AAW Instructor ACTC Level 400, P-8A Weapons Tactics Instructor ACTC Level 500, Master Training Specialist required
