About the Role
We are seeking a Maintenance Technician III to join our team at our Hazleton, PA bakery. In this role, you will provide advanced technical maintenance support across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and computerized bakery systems to reduce downtime and ensure equipment reliability. You will play a key role in diagnosing complex issues, performing repairs, and supporting the safe and efficient operation of production equipment.
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: 3rd
- Hours: 9:30PM – 5:45AM
- Weekend availability: Required
Core Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing)
- Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic bakery equipment to minimize downtime.
- Maintain and program PLCs and instrumentation systems to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Execute major equipment overhauls and test machinery following repairs or changeovers.
- Perform preventive maintenance to support equipment reliability and production schedule needs.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and documentation to diagnose and resolve issues.
- Collaborate with production teams to address equipment concerns and support continuous operations.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with GMP, safety, and quality standards.
Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

High school diploma and at least 4 years of experience in instrumentation, control systems, electronics, mechanical, and/or electrical industrial machinery maintenance
OR 6 years of relevant experience without a diploma. - Experience troubleshooting PLC software, I/O, and field devices in an industrial environment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and control system drawings.
- Experience working with mechanical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced, changing production environment.
- Ability to meet physical requirements, including standing, lifting, and working in manufacturing conditions.
Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
- Experience in food manufacturing process controls.
- Skills in at least three areas: refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, or process controls.
- Hands-on experience with building automation systems or energy management systems.
- Forklift, scissor lift, or similar equipment certification.
