A company in Portland, OR is seeking an experienced Controller to join the team!Job Title: ControllerLocation: SE Portland 97214 Length: This will be a direct hire/permanent roleWHAT YOU NEED:Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance7+ YOE in accounting, with experience managing 3+ direct reportsExperience with GL accountingExperience working for a company with $100M+ revenueSOX experience, US or international is fineStrong experience with Excel- most of the reporting is all done in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, report creation, macros) Multi entity/unit idealNeed to have experience with lease accounting and fixed assets- understanding the processWhat You Will Be Doing:Manage all aspects of AP, AR, and PayrollPlay a key role in the month-end close process including posting journal entries and completing bank reconciliations Issue financial statements and corporate annual report Make recommendations according to company performance Create financial and operating metrics Manage annual budget and forecasts Perform variance analysis Analyze capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations Provide information to external auditors annuallyEnsure local, state, and federal government reporting and tax filings are in complianceManage all aspects of lease and fixed asset accounting Implement and enforce policies and procedures in accordance with US GAAP Maintain efficient accounting department organization necessary to achieve department goals and objectives Oversee all accounting functions for multiple subsidiariesWork Environment:Overall casual environment, laid back A culture fit would be a manager who likes being in the weeds and wants to elevate the team, hard-working, strong work ethic, effective communicatorAbout Aston Carter:Aston Carter provides world-class corporate talent solutions to thousands of clients across the globe.
