The ideal candidate for this position will have proven AutoCAD experience and computer-aided drafting experience in a technology-driven program or project supporting the US Navy. Pay Band: $50,000 - $75,000 Travel up to 20% You Will: Provide leadership, guidance, and demonstrate a problem-solving, solutions-oriented approach within the team and with our Government counterparts and Industry Partners
Develop and review all drawing types to ensure compliance with professional standards
Coordinate and deliver on drawing milestones and deliverables, communicating issues and solutions to appropriate stakeholders
Measure project performance to stay within established timelines, providing exceptional quality
Assist with estimation of levels of effort for cost analysis and planning
Mentor and foster professional growth, development, productivity, and deliverable quality of team members
Participate in new project kick-off meetings, communicating necessary information to team to drive success
Determine and define clear goals, roles and responsibilities for team members as required for specific projects or initiatives
Collaborate with government project leads and industry partners during design and prototype, and document installation of electronic Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) systems equipment and associated cabling and wiring
Collect data and create reports, adhering to DoD and/or NAVWAR/NIWC processes
Expertise with Microsoft Office products, specifically Visio
Coordinate with drawing stakeholders for site surveys of DoD C5ISR installations, either ashore or afloat, to document existing equipment arrangements, cabling, and power systems

Experience with design, drafting, operation and/or installation of shipboard electronic systems
Knowledge of shipboard terminology, welding symbology, cables, and connectors
Familiar with afloat and shore installation process handbook (SIPH) You Have: US Citizenship
Possession of, or the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Level Security Clearance with the capability of upgrading to Top Secret as needed.
Expert knowledge and usage of AutoCAD
Experience with SolidWorks or other industry standard 3-D Computer-Aided Drafting software
Experience with attributes, block creation, text insertion and layer modification
Experience serving within a dynamic team while being independently motivated

2 years with a certificate or degree in Mechanical or Electrical Drafting or 5+ years’ experience in mechanical, electrical, or similar drafting
Ability to self-manage and work in a DoD lab environment on base (local)
