SYSTEM ARCHITECT (MBSE SME)

DescriptionAuria is looking to hire a Principal Systems Architect (Senior Staff)to join our Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program.  This position is based in Colorado Springs, CO. The selected applicant will consume use cases and systems engineering artifacts, including the definition of Epics and Features, to implement customer-requested capabilities. Support the development and review of interface documents, system requirements, Verification Cross Reference Matrix (VCRM) development, architectural documentation, system engineering estimates, and author and perform formal and informal engineering reviews. The position will also support junior systems engineering team members in enhancing their skills in the department. This position will support the TO 38 SETI and Inc10 and beyond systems engineering needs on MBSE and general systems engineering. Some travel is required.Minimum Qualifications:Active Secret clearance is required to start.Bachelor’s degree and 14 years experience in a related field, Master's degree and 12+ years of relevant experience may be substituted.Experience with complex command and control systems, mission analysis, performance analysis, requirements solicitation, decomposition, and management, application of modeling to testing and verificationDemonstrated experience in the development of models to drive solutions in complex systems is required with specific demonstrated expertise in DoDAF and SysML methodology Experience in the development of key diagram types to create logical and physical models that depict static and dynamic behavior, performance, element interactions, internal and external interfaces, states, and modesExperienced user of the DOORS toolRequirements solicitation, derivation, and decomposition to lower level subsystems and componentsMaintenance of system and component baselines in a requirement management system; defining the relationships between internal and external components; communicating system level use cases and associated Epics and Feature relationships to a diverse group of customers, developers, engineers, subject matter experts, and usersPreferred Qualifications:Experience in transitioning a mature and evolving project into MBSEExperience with Cameo (or Magic Draw), Enterprise Architect, Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements (DOORs) to manage multiple product baselinesPossess the ability to be part of an integrated team tasked with developing and maintaining the physical, functional, and technical baselines necessary to describe the desired capabilities of an evolving BMDS Command & Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) SystemExperience with Agile Methods, and Epic and Feature definitionSkills in logical architecture modeling and/or interface definition, as well as knowledge of cyber security concepts and security accreditationSalary Range: The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications - skills, education & experience - and the position level ($152,000 - $171,000).About AuriaAuria is a provider of solutions and software in support of complex Space, National Security, and Cyber missions of federal, international, and commercial customers.
