Pay: $90,000-$110,000 DOE

Overview

Avento Health has partnered with an outpatient behavioral health organization in the Los Angeles area seeking a Licensed Dual Diagnosis Therapist to support adults with mental health and substance use disorders. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity for a clinician who is confident leading groups, providing individual therapy, and delivering high-quality, documentation-focused care in a collaborative setting.


This role is well suited for a licensed therapist with recent outpatient experience, strong clinical judgment, and a team-first approach to patient care.

 

Responsibilities

Lead therapy groups for adults in a dual diagnosis setting

Provide individual therapy and support continuity of care

Complete assessments and develop individualized treatment plans

Coordinate with team members and support case management needs as appropriate

Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation including progress notes, assessments, treatment plans, and related records

Support documentation quality by helping ensure records are complete, clinically appropriate, and aligned with program standards

Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration and case consultation

 

Required Qualifications

Active California license as an LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, or Psychologist

Recent outpatient behavioral health experience

Recent experience with dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorders

Experience facilitating therapy groups

Strong communication, clinical judgment, and reliability

Strong clinical documentation skills

Ability to commute to an on-site role in the Los Angeles area

Availability to work Monday-Friday on-site

 

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with co-occurring disorders in an outpatient setting

Experience with KIPU or a similar behavioral health EMR

Strong case coordination experience

Experience supporting chart review, documentation compliance, or clinical documentation quality processes
