This supervisory position will report to the MER Facility Manager and will be responsible for multiple sites throughout Merrimack and Milford, NH. Collectively these sites make up a total of approx. 600,000 sq. ft. of diverse industrial facilities. Responsibilities will include shared supervision of the Plant Engineering team, consisting of skilled trades (Electrical Specialists, HVACR Specialists, Building Automation Specialists, Plumbing Specialists, General Maintenance Mechanics, and Chemical Safety Inspectors), Safety Health and Environmental Specialist, and Professional Administrative Support Personnel, as well as contracted services personnel. The successful candidate will be part of a plant engineering team that maintains and operates the building infrastructure that supports a variety of spaces, including offices, clean rooms, manufacturing space, and other specialty type labs. Many of these spaces require 24/7 support. They will also require training in emergency response as an Incident Commander and will also be part of an Incident Response/Business Continuity Management Team, requiring a leading or supporting role for a variety of scenarios that could disrupt building operations. The successful candidate will have experience and a strong technical, operational knowledge, and mechanical aptitude of building systems including but not limited to:
HVAC Equipment including but not limited to of DX package units, air cooled chillers, and chilled water units. Operational knowledge of clean room protocols and supporting systems such as vacuum pumps, compressors and clean dry air systems, gaseous and liquid nitrogen distribution systems, and other process gases. Building Automation and direct digital control systems a plus. Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site.
This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time. Required Education, Experience, & Skills * Bachelor's degree in an Engineering Discipline (Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical) with 3+ year's industrial building operational experience, or an associate degree in technical building related discipline (HVAC and or a NH State Electrical license) with 7+ years in industrial building operational experience.
* The candidate must also be familiar with a variety of Federal, State, EPA, NFPA, OSHA, and DES Regulatory and Compliance Requirements.
* The successful candidate will must have strong communication skills, with experience in a supervisory role with direct reports of various technical expertise, building occupants, lab coordinators, functional managers, and executive leadership.
* The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of a variety of computer software applications such as Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point), CMMS (Maximo), electronic timecard systems (Auto Time) and other administrative tools. The candidate should have experience in following company processes and procedures for writing and executing personnel reviews, conflict resolution, rewards and recognition, and labor compliance. Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills * Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems: Boilers, DX and Chilled Water Systems/Clean Room Protocols, Temperature and Humidification Specifications/Fire Protection, Fire Pumps, Hydrants, PIVs, and Fire Sprinklers/Building Automation and Direct Digital Control/Chiller Plant and Cooling Towers/Process Piping, N2, LN2, CDA, Vacuum/Plumbing, Back Flow Preventers. Full-Time Salary Range: $92290 - $156860 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
