As a Principal Cyber Embedded Systems Security Engineer, you'll be responsible for developing and managing embedded system hardware and software product security requirements, designing secure system architectures, and performing system-level security integration and testing. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the security of our products and systems. You will make impacts as a Principal Embedded Systems Security Engineer in the following ways;
* Architecting software cybersecurity features into a real-time safety critical embedded control system.
* Implementing cybersecurity features in software interfacing directly with hardware components as part of a cybersecurity board support package. * Implementing cybersecurity features in software at an application level including protection of data at rest and in transit
* Integrating cybersecurity features with existing software product code bases.
* Applying cybersecurity standards, guidelines and best practices for the development of cybersecurity software.
* Develop product security CONOPS and system security plans
* Decompose customer product security requirements into feature-set capability requirements
* Participate in threat/vulnerability assessments and identify required security measures
* Develop cybersecurity test plans and procedures
* Support cybersecurity audit and test events
* Coordinate with Safety Engineering to ensure product security features don't impact product safety What We Offer:

* A 9/8- work schedule (every other Friday off) * A culture of innovation, inclusivity, and respect Required Education, Experience, & Skills * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field with strong embedded software development background.
* 8+ years of experience in embedded controls development with at least 3 years implementing and testing cybersecurity features.
* Experience in full software lifecycle including requirements, design, coding, integration and verification.
* Experience integrating on real-time, safety-critical electronic control systems that include hardware, software and programmable logic devices.
* Experience with implementing cybersecurity capabilities leveraging features/components including any of the following; secure boot, cryptographic accelerators, Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs), Trusted Platform Modules (TPMs) or Hardware Security Modules (HSMs). * Understanding of purpose and usage of; cryptographic objects: Keys, Certs, CRLs; algorithms: SHA, AES, RSA, ECC, HMAC, GMAC, etc., and protocols: TLS/DTLS, IPSec, etc.
* Solid knowledge and hands-on experience with C/C++, Python and assembly language programming
* Experience performing static/dynamic code analysis.
* Technical writing skills: capable of creating required engineering documentation Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills * Master's Degree in a related engineering field
* 10+ years of experience in avionics or electronic controls embedded development, including familiarity with systems such as flight controls, engine controls, or mission systems
* Experience with development of formal validation and verification procedures
* Experience with safety critical development guidelines
* Understanding of cryptographic objects, algorithms, and protocols
* Experience with DISA STIGs and/or IAVA compliance hardening
* Demonstrated experience providing technical leadership Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $111700 - $189900 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
