With offices on four continents, our global team aligns our interests with those of our investors for lasting impact.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide general support to the Tax Department, with a focus on Partners in our international officesAssist with individual home and host country tax filings:Build an understanding of international tax positions worldwide (especially in the UK, Japan and India)Coordinate with our tax advisors and internal Finance teams to gather relevant investment detailsPerform detailed review income tax calculations (quarterly estimate payments and annual tax returns)Monitor and ensure advisors are meeting various local tax filing deadlines.Coordinate with our tax advisors on matters:Prepare responses to tax authority audits andCoordinate requests for additional information.Work closely with internal Finance teams of Bain investment funds to understand country specific tax impact to firm and Partners’ local tax filings.Develop and maintain efficient data and document management practices within the Tax Department, both of internal and personal informationQUALIFICATIONS:Strong spreadsheet abilities and thorough working knowledge of Excel, including basic formula functions.Pivot tables, compound formula functions, and basic macro creation skills are preferredAbility to work with various tax compliance & research tools (ex. BNA Income Tax Planner, SuperForms, ThomsonReuters Checkpoint, Adobe Acrobat, Tableau)Ability to handle highly confidential & sensitive information with professionalism in a busy, fast-paced environmentMotivated, detail-oriented and organized approachSelf-directed and proactive work ethic, with an emphasis on taking ownership of tasksAbility to apply knowledge to new fact patterns and develop innovative and efficient solutions without constant oversightRespectful and enthusiastic team attitudeExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong professional and academic achievementREQUIRED EDUCATION:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance required2-6 years of relevant accounting experience (Big 4 public accounting preferred)CPA or other designation helpfulExperience with codingBain Capital is an equal opportunity employer.
