Core Responsibilities:

  • Read and understand engineering drawings to manufacture parts.
  • Determine the appropriate tooling, work holding, and machining process needed to produce a high-quality metal part.
  • Set up and run vertical and horizontal mills, and CNC gun drill in a timely manner
  • Produce high quality products.
  • Check all machined parts to the dimensions specified on the engineering drawing and conform to all operator certification requirements.
  • Maintain a safe work environment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • Work to verbal and written instructions.
  • Support an environment of growth and enthusiasm with other associates.


Qualifications:

  • 10 years' experience
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Knowledge of tooling and machining techniques
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Good math skills
  • Use of measuring tools
  • Know and understand "Quality at the source"
  • Understand and practice safe working methods
  • Job Shop experience
  • SolidWorks/MasterCam experience
  • CNC milling and/or gun drilling experience.
  • Be willing to work to ISO / QS 9000 standards and have a commitment to continuous improvement


Education Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or G E D
