We are looking for an DBM/DB2 Database Administrator/Specialist to join our dedicated and high performing team on a long-term engagement with a govt agency. You will be part of the team responsible for the ongoing support and implementation of new changes to applications and databases used in the electronic authoring and publishing of forms, instructions and publications. In this role you will interface with users to gather and clarify requirements, develop, test and deploy new code for new project, as required. Support duties may include entering and reviewing data within the database, ensuring user data integrity, maintaining database support tools, database tables and dictionaries, recovery and back-up procedures, and making recommendations regarding enhancements and/or improvements. Additionally you will provide design guidance as well as provide help support the user community. Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree and 4 or more relevant experience. Additional years of experience in lieu of degree may be considered.
Knowledge and skills required:
• VM/CMS
• REXX
• PIPES (including Princeton extensions/enhancements and the PIPE SQL stage)
• DB2 (preferably DB2 Server for VM, including DB2 Control Center and RXSQL – but will consider other DB2 experience)
• z/VWS (the VM HTTP server from Velocity Software, formerly known as ESAWEB) and HTML, JS, CSS, zVWS CGI calls. • Experience programming custom disconnected Service Virtual Machines using TOOLSRUN or any custom developed process of your own. Knowledge and Skills desired:
• Visualage Generator/Cross System Product (desired, but not mandatory if you can learn)
• Experience with SLK for XML would be helpful, but not mandatory if you can learn.
• Experience with the IBM VM Batch Facility (desired, but not mandatory if you can learn)
• Experience utilizing Microsoft suite of products\
• COBOL Typical Education & Experience:

All work under this effort shall be performed at a Telework site 100% of the time. SECURITY REQUIREMENTS Candidates must be able to pass a Minimum Background Investigation (MBS) security background check. Work hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 PM Eastern time. All government holidays are non-work days.
