OverviewJob Summary:This position is responsible for the assimilation and smooth operation of productive dental teams across multiple sites. In conjunction with the Chief Dental Officer, Chief Field Operations, Regional Dental Directors, and District Managers, this position is responsible for coaching/mentoring all doctors, the management and supervision of personnel, client/patient relations and satisfaction, and serving as a role model for clinical leadership/staff.Essential Functions and Primary Responsibilities:Develop, coach and mentor doctors to reach performance potential, in particular for new doctors during their onboarding and ramp up periodEnsure adherence to all government and state dental board rules regulations, including CMS, HIPPA and OSHA regulationsEnsure doctors are following diagnostic and preventative ADA and AAPD Guidelines (Caries Risk Assessment (CRA), X-Rays, Sealants)Perform dentistry 25% of the week, best practice is to schedule days in all offices within the district monthly if possibleMust perform dentistry in offices with a new doctorWork closely with the office leadership team to ensure programs are effectively managed, the staff is fully trained, and that customer service standards are metEnsure doctors identify and refer patients for specialty services, as appropriateEnsure doctors are providing positive memorable experiences for patients and parentsRespond to and resolve clinical patient concerns within 24 hours at DM requestEnsure doctor answering and responding to after-hours callsPartner with Talent Acquisition in selection process. Ensure all doctors are on-boarded and trained. Own the training of your district’s doctors.Responsible for doctor engagement and retention through focus on Smile on, Our SmilesManage doctors at risk due to their performance, dissatisfaction, or seeking exitImprove year over year office performance by developing and executing on SMART action planNon-Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Participate in community events to include dental school meetings, board member meetings, dental associations and other opportunities to represent the Company in the dental and local communitiesEnsure weekly doctor scheduling is properly managed with the DM to meet patient demand, including appropriate PTO and/or CE request approval with DMSupport Ortho, Oral Surgery, Endodontics, and General Anesthesia doctors and programs in officesOther duties as assignedQualifications:Education/Experience:The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of management experience preferably with a multi-site dental practice. Must have experience managing other dentists and staff.DDS/DMD from a dental education program accredited by the Commission on Dental AccreditationMust have a current, valid license to practice dentistry in the states where providing patient care (License must be in good standing) or be willing and able to obtain licensure.Current, valid license to practice dentistry in states where providing care or eligible for licensureOther certifications as required - CPR, DEA, etc.Compassion and a strong desire to provide dental care to both children and adultsPhysical Requirements: The nature of work requires the ability to:Candidates must be willing to live within the region they will be managing.This position will require approximately 75% administrative and 25% chair time within the designated area.
