This position is 36 hours per week (3 12-hour shifts), rotating primarily night shift, including every other weekend with holiday commitment.

This position is eligible for full benefits, including health, vision, dental, and supplemental plans.

Responsibilities: An Emergency Room Nurse is primarily responsible for developing a patient care plan after a quick and thorough evaluation of a patient’s injuries. Emergency Room Nurses work in a fast-paced environment that requires quick thinking and decision making. There are no fixed tasks for Emergency Room Nurses since their patients require rapid assessment and interventions. Oftentimes, nursing professionals in this field enjoy spontaneity and not having a fixed routine. Though Emergency Care can be high-stressed, Emergency Room Nurses receive high satisfaction with their rewarding career and the impact they make on their patients.

Under the general supervision of the Nurse Manager, or designee, you will provide direct evidence based patient-centered emergency care. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Performing patient assessments, analyzing and interpreting data, implementing nursing interventions and coordinating care to ensure an optimal care delivery experience.

· Demonstrates understanding of and contributes to unit throughput efficiencies and quality metrics.

· Collaborating with other healthcare team members to to provide safe, effective, equitable and timely patient and family care.

· Serve as a patient advocate and develop relationships with patients and families to maintain trust and respect.

· Promotion of Healthy Work Environment: Embrace and contribute to our professional practice model through active participation in shared governance, promoting a healthy and supportive work environment. Take personal responsibility for professional growth and development.

Requirements:

· Graduate of a School of Nursing; BSN preferred.

· MA State RN License.

· Minimum of 1 Year of acute care medical-surgical experience (or equivalent) required, Emergency nursing experience preferred.

· BLS, ACLS required; PALS required within six months of start date.

· Must be able to pass the basic medication exam before start date.

· Must be able to pass basic telemetry exam by completion of orientation.
