BigFoot Staffing is partnering with a great company supporting the aerospace industry based in Kent, Washington, known for its precision and reliability. We are seeking a talented Eddy Current Engineer to join their dynamic team and contribute to cutting-edge aerospace projects.


Job Description:

As an Eddy Current Engineer, you will be involved in the development and enhancement of eddy current testing equipment. Additionally, you will be responsible for performing non-destructive testing (NDT) and inspection using eddy current techniques to ensure the integrity and safety of aerospace components. You will work closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to support the development, manufacturing, and maintenance of aerospace products.


Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and improve eddy current testing equipment and tools.

- Develop and implement eddy current testing procedures and protocols.

- Collaborate with engineering teams to provide technical support and recommendations for improving product quality.

- Conduct eddy current testing and inspections on aerospace components to detect surface and subsurface defects.

- Interpret and evaluate test results to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications.

- Maintain and calibrate eddy current testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.

- Prepare detailed reports and documentation of inspection results and findings.

- Train and mentor junior technicians on eddy current testing techniques and best practices.

- Stay updated with advancements in eddy current technology and industry standards.


Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Material Science, or a related field.

- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in eddy current testing, manufacturing and non-destructive testing (NDT).

- Certification in Eddy Current Testing (ET) Level II or Level III (ASNT, NAS410, or equivalent).

- Experience in designing and developing eddy current testing equipment.

- Strong knowledge of aerospace materials and manufacturing processes.

- Proficient in the use of eddy current testing equipment and software.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

- Effective communication and teamwork skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in the aerospace industry.

- Knowledge of other NDT methods such as ultrasonic testing, radiographic testing, and magnetic particle testing.

- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards (FAA, ASTM, etc.).
