Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for timely, ethical, and effective handling of all assigned general liability, property, and auto claims
  • Investigate all claims by gathering and preserving pertinent information needed to accurately assess liability. Investigation includes but is not limited to video search, recorded statements, gathering photographs and various documents
  • Document all discussions, correspondence, reports and decisions that occur during the investigation in the claims system in a timely and effective manner
  • Frequent communication with all appropriate parties involved with the claim
  • Determine if tender or subrogation opportunities exist and take necessary steps for recovery
  • Provide guidance to other team members as needed (i.e. - safety and claim handling procedures)
  • Exercise proper judgment and decision making to analyze claims exposure.
  • Negotiate resolution and pay claims within assigned authority limits
  • Detect potential problems or trends that require additional review, investigation, or research
  • Work well with others in a fast-paced, collaborative environment that is also intellectually challenging
  • Attend Small Claims Court as needed
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree and five+ years of general liability, property and auto liability experience
  • Strong technical claims knowledge
  • Demonstrate excellent guest service skills and a passion to help others.
  • Demonstrate understanding of legal and medical terminology
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be a self-starter with excellent organization and time management skills; capability of effective planning and prioritizing work load
  • Experience with multi-unit, multi-state organization
  • Strong negotiation, problem solving, verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills required to navigate our paperless claim file system, internal software systems, and Microsoft Office
  • High sense of urgency and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and confidentially
  • Ability to evaluate and resolve exposures with the highest degree of integrity
  • Detail-oriented organized individual with the ability to work both in a team environment and independently
  • Possess strong commitment to team environment dynamics with the ability to contribute expertise and follow leadership directives
Pay Range: USD $70,000.00 - USD $85,000.00 /Hr.
