YOU'D LIKE TO DO THIS BlueHalo is seeking talented, innovative, and highly motivated individuals who possess Senior level Mechanical Engineering backgrounds with extensive experience in the mechanical design of complex systems. Working as a team-member within the Mechanical Engineering Group, the candidate will be responsible for the design, analysis, assembly, testing, and integration of mechanical systems all while working within agile, multi-disciplinary teams. Primary Responsibilities: • Responsible for mechanical design of individual components and assemblies
• Perform analysis to validate designs
• Manage and plan your work with minimal guidance
• Be called upon as a subject matter expert to present design work
• Develop engineering Support Documentation and Test Procedures
• Mentor junior engineers
• Ability to support occasional travel for project needs, both locally and within CON US Core Competencies: • Proficiency with SolidWorks CAD software package including mechanical design, drawings, and complex analysis
• Experience with Product Data Management (PDM) software
• Expertise in tolerance analysis and GD&T practices • Experience and willingness to be hands-on during hardware assembly, integration, and testing • Experience using common hand and power tools
• Comfortable working with a multi-disciplinary team in a lab or testing environment
• Understanding of common machining and fabrication processes
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
• Ability to develop and manage tasks given an end goal Desired Competencies: • Experience with Ansys structural and/or thermal analysis software tools
• Broad knowledge of materials, machining, and fabrication standards
• Expertise in Microsoft Access, Visio, and/or Project This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, and flexible work hours may be accommodated. Travel: Some travel may be required (10%). YOU'RE REQUIRED TO HAVE THIS • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent STEM discipline from an accredited four-year university
• 10+ years of relevant experience with mechanical design and drawings
• Must be a US Citizen
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Clearance
