Overview: The Electrical Logistician works in coordination with customer and contract staff to manage a stock of electrical components and associated electrical shop items and equipment. The Electrical Logistician will be responsible for organizing and maintaining an extensive electrical shop inventory. They are expected to replenish stock by submitting purchase orders to a local/on-site procurement team that supports the program. The Electrical Logistician may need to provide occasional technical guidance to the procurement team for routine and specialized orders. You like to do this: - Identifying sources for material.
- Interfacing with technical staff to clarify material requirements, and associated paperwork to maintain equipment and shop inventory levels.
- Ordering, tracking order progress, and receiving material as required for shop requirements in coordination with procurement team.
- Maintaining timely order status, documentation, and issue resolution in coordination with the procurement team.
- Assisting with timelines and program impacts for material receipt.
- Coordinating the movement and hand-off of material between facilities and supporting property accounting procedures.
- Review vendor performance with program staff against established targets, benchmarks, or service agreements.
- Communicate regularly with customer management, requirements officers, engineers, and the contract PM - Must be detail-oriented and able to manage customer requirements efficiently and at times under tight timelines
- Maintain inventory records, maintenance procedures, and product information for all associated project equipment - Develop technical capability solutions in collaboration with project engineers and technicians to overcome operational and fabrication obstacles to device deployment - Document new processes and approaches to share with others in the group and on the project team.
- Assist others in the ability to access stock and material inventory, and shop procedures as required to maintain production efficiency and shop safety. - Communicate with external parties such as sub-contractors, mission partners, and vendors, as required. You're required to have this: - Active TS/SCI w/polygraph - 3 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of electrical parts and assemblies, general inventory control processes, and shop safety procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of tools
- Demonstrated ability to work as an individual and in a team environment - Demonstrated ability to work with teams, including strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements and manage and prioritize multiple tasks
- Direct experience with customer is preferable.
- Familiarity with common electromechanical components such as connectors, passives, cable harnesses, transistors, etc is preferable.
- Experience placing and tracking orders with Digi Key and Mouser is preferable.
