Position Overview: One of our contracts with The Department of State is currently seeking a highly motivated Technical Writer II. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic, and a keen attention to detail. Additionally, the candidate must demonstrate excellent organizational abilities and have experience collaborating with teams that manage diverse and shifting priorities. This role requires a professional who can effectively navigate complex projects and deliver high-quality documentation in a dynamic environment. Clearance Requirement: Candidates must hold a minimum Interim Secret clearance and be able to secure a full scope Secret clearance Work Location: Springfield, VA Work Schedule (On-site): Five (5) days a week on-site at the customer’s facility Key Responsibilities: Review, draft and/or edit content such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), Memorandum of Agreements (MOA), Online help articles, training material, meeting notes and web-development Analyze information required for the development or update of policy, procedure, and form documentation Produce quality content with prompt delivery of all task and contractual deliverables associated with product development Assist in meeting facilitation, including contributing to discussion and taking meeting notes Employ agile principles to establish a two-week deployment schedule Present information in a concise and logical way for reader comprehension Generate innovative ideas for content and workflow solutions Meet with subject-matter experts to collect and synthesize information, prepare written text and produce technical content that enhances the user experience Coordinate tasks to track delivery, installation, and ensure that operations and security protocols are properly conducted Liaise between end users, stakeholders, and on-site government employees Collaborate with members of the product team to decompose large epics into features and user stories that can be understood and approved by members of the development team Help facilitate planning sessions with clients and team members to ensure that planned work is well-defined, planned, articulated, and understood Analyze complex and technical information required for product development Lead or assist with requirements gathering sessions to produce accurate user-facing documentation Maintain and organize the internal document library Required Qualifications: Candidate must be a United States Citizen and present proof of Citizenship, if selected
3+ Years of experience as Technical Writer, Business Analyst, and/or similar role Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (English, Literature, and/or Writing a plus) or equivalent work experience Well-versed in Agile with a familiarity with IT Outstanding verbal and written communication skills Experience creating analysis documentation for multiple audiences Experience creating and using infographics such as diagrams, screenshots, charts, workflows, and graphics that increase users’ understanding Experience working with technical and non-technical team members, and stakeholders at different levels in IT field Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Share Point Bonus Qualifications: Able to manage shifting priorities Great customer service skills Strong focus and commitment to providing end user customer service Adept in managing changing priorities and demanding schedules Company Benefits: We take care of your well-being here at ZenPoint Solutions!
