The Opportunity:

As a systems engineer on our team, you have the chance to design automation in cloud systems in support of Army systems. Your technical expertise will be vital as you evaluate and modernize the Army systems. You’ll develop your skills in Cloud, Automation, and Engineering while gaining experience in DoD. Grow your skills by merging Engineering and Cloud to create automated infrastructure services. Join our team and help turn requirements into accomplishments that drive change. Work with an Engineering Team to develop python scripts and utilize Lambda function to deploy infrastructure services and automate services. Utilize AWS services and Infrastructure as a Code (IAC) scripts to deploy services. Manage and deploy AppStream applications, including fleets and manage AppStream service. Create and update reference architecture documentation, including, specifications and diagrams. Document environment changes and updates.

You Have:
2+ years of experience in engineering and automation of system and cloud administration
Experience with Amazon AWS GovCloud
Experience configuring and patching OS
Experience with Python and Lambda functions
Knowledge of AWS services and structures
Ability to develop scripts
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
CompTIA Security + Certification
Nice If You Have:
Experience configuring and administering AppStream
Experience in the military or working with government agencies in the DoD
Knowledge of PostgreSQL databases and data backups
Knowledge of log collection and aggregation tools such as Splunk
Possession of excellent communication and collaboration skills
Possession of strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
