POSITION SUMMARY:

Under general supervision of the CT Manager, and following established policies and procedures, operates a CT (computed tomography) scanner to obtain images for use by physicians in diagnoses and treatment of pathologies. The technologist provides technical and ancillary support to the department mission through demonstrated clinical and academic competency in CT. Clinical and academic competency is defined as completing training and meeting all clinical responsibilities to all areas assigned, ability to work unsupervised in the clinical setting, willingness to rotate to all areas as the need arises, and holding appropriate licensure and advanced certification, as required by the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists), the ACR (American College of Radiology)and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

Must be a graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology.
Must be ARRT registered in Radiologic Technology.
CT Specialty required or obtained within one year of employment.
BLS or CPR required
