Position: Certified Surgical Technician Department: Operating Room (Inpatient/Outpatient Surgery) Schedule: Full-Time or Part-Time Hours Available This position is eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus for candidates with less than 1 year or single specialty experience, paid out after successfully completing 6 months of employment. POSITION SUMMARY: As a member of the surgical team, the surgical technician provides patient care during surgical procedures by providing an aseptic and safe environment. Duties include prepping and sterilizing rooms, transporting patients, passing instruments, and assisting surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other staff during surgery. Uses technical and aseptic techniques to ensure the methodology complies with established sterile standards and procedures. EDUCATION: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Must also be a graduate of an accredited/approved program in surgical technology (or completed an Armed Forces medic or corpsmen program). CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED: Surgical Technician certification must be obtained prior to start date. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Previous surgical tech experience preferred.

Effective interpersonal skills to interact appropriately with patients, families, physicians, and other hospital staff.
