Dental Assistant

Bright White Dental of Fresh Meadows is a busy dental office seeking a reliable and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team. This is a great position for experienced Dental Assistants looking to work FULL TIME. The hours are:

Sunday 10-5

Monday & Wednesday 10-7

Tuesday & Thursday 11-7

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control practices, and proficiency in Dentrix, iTero, Dandy etc.. Responsibilities:

• Provide chairside assistance during various dental procedures (e.g., fillings, crowns, extractions, etc.)
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
• Disinfect and maintain operatories, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use.
• Take X-rays
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Assist with the management of patient flow
• Manage supplies and inventory when needed
• Maintain infection control protocols in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Utilize dental software such as Dentrix
• Operate 3D scanners for imaging as needed.

Qualifications:

• 1 year Dental Assisting Required
• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
• Positive attitude, team-oriented, and a compassionate approach with patients
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
