Industry Leader are hiring due to growth a Manufacturing Engineer to provide process ownership and product line engineering support to manufacturing for assigned product areas. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE: Process Ownership Responsible for manufacturing methods developments.
Manufacturing process development, training, and implementation.
Introduction of new products from design into manufacture.
Ongoing process improvement projects.
Workstation design.
Manufacturing quality improvements.
Tooling and processing requirements.
Attention to safety, ergonomics, and compliance with applicable environmental regulations.
Risk Assessment and Audit Support. Product Line Support Provides engineering technical support to production staff in order to meet production goals.
Works with engineers, quality assurance, and production management staff to identify areas for continuous improvement.
Support new product introductions; Attending design reviews; Ensure proper attention is given to efficient manufacturing methods, including poka-yoke.
Ensure new designs have incorporated efficient and current manufacturing techniques and methods.
Provide line layouts for efficient manufacturing flow, including 6S.
Initiate process improvements - Interface with other departments on implementation.
Implement Lean Manufacturing methods to drive operational excellence and the relentless elimination of waste.
Assists in Material Review Board management.
Documentation and Training Responsible for developing, documenting, and implementing manufacturing instructions, layouts, and procedures.
Ensure workplace instructions and guides are visible, and documentation is controlled.
Ensure understanding of documentation by end-users.
Participate in the training and certification of operators at key operations.
Analyzes and implements Corrective Action Requests and provides feedback for continuous improvement.
Validate ERP data against actuals.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: BA/BS degree in a technical field, manufacturing, or industrial discipline.
Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in an industrial manufacturing environment in a technician role.
New product development experience from design to volume production stages.
Experience using AutoCAD, Inventor, and Visual Manufacturing software.
Competent in the use of Microsoft Office products.
Experience in improving production processes.
Ability to travel to suppliers as required.
