The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing and executing digital marketing initiatives that drive demand, elevate brand visibility, and clearly communicate the Bunzl Retail Services value proposition across digital channels.
This hybrid role reports directly to the Sr Marketing Director and works closely with the marketing team and cross-functional partners to support integrated, high-impact marketing initiatives. This role requires a strong balance of strategic thinking, hands-on execution, and data-driven optimization, along with a solid understanding of modern digital platforms and marketing technology.
In this role, you will help optimize our marketing and sales operations, build new processes that enhance lead generation and nurturing strategies, and ensure pristine data and process hygiene for the team.
Responsibilities:
- Sales Enablement: Collaborate with the sales team to improve sales productivity, including configuring automation workflows, sales sequences, and performance tracking. Provide training and support to sales and marketing teams on HubSpot and related tools.
- Campaign Support: Assist with planning, building, and optimizing multi-channel digital marketing campaigns including emails, workflows, and automation sequences to generate qualified leads and support business objectives. Implement and maintain user segmentation.
- Workflows & Automation: Develop, execute, and optimize email marketing and marketing automation workflows using platforms such as HubSpot to nurture leads and drive pipeline progression. Maintain CRM data hygiene including duplicate contact records, monitoring email deliverability, etc.
- Lead Routing: Collaborate with Sales and CRM team to align lead handoff processes, maintain tracking in CRM (Microsoft Dynamics), including audience segmentation, lead scoring and attribution initiatives.
- Reporting: Analyze campaign and website performance using Google Analytics, Google Ads, SEMrush and other tools. Ability to translate insights into actionable optimization plans. Generate regular and ad-hoc reports as needed.
- Content Operations: Maintain and update content in CMS platforms (WordPress) ensuring SEO best practices and UX basics are applied. Coordinate, schedule, and publish digital content across various platforms including blogs, forms, landing pages, videos, etc.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field highly preferred
- 3+ years of experience in digital marketing/marketing operations with hands-on CRM Marketing Hub expertise (automation workflows, segmentation, reporting, and lead scoring), preferably HubSpot and/or Microsoft Dynamics – configuration and administration with minimal oversite.
- Ability to prioritize workflows, multi-task and shift gears within a fast-paced environment while managing and executing multiple projects at the same time
- Highly data-driven and technically fluent, with ability to leverage data to create reports and extract data to show sales and marketing metrics to share as needed within the organization
- Proven track record in email marketing automation - building, testing, and optimizing nurture campaigns.
- Basic understanding of graphic design, WordPress, Canva, project management tools, SEO, SEM, social media, and other marketing tools, video editing skills are a bonus
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Compensation: Salary Range $60K - $80K annual depending upon education, experience and location.
