Tingley Rubber, a Bunzl company, is nor hiring for a Dir, Product Management. The Director of Project Management’s primary responsibilities are to manage the product life cycle for product line; collects and translates market needs into requirements to meet sales and marketing plan objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that product efforts support the company’s overall strategy and goals.
  • Conducts margin analysis, industry/market research and product performance evaluation to determine product positioning, viability and profitability into existing and new markets.
  • Supervises market pricing and price changes to ensure product line profitability.
  • Assesses market trends and evaluates customer and sales feedback for new product development and business opportunities.
  • Uses knowledge of the market and competitor activity to identify and develop the company’s selling propositions and differentiators for assigned products.
  • Participates on cross-functional product design team and specifies requirements to develop new products and product line extensions/features from conception to product introduction.
  • Develops and delivers product training and communication of new products/product changes to both internal and external customers.
  • Attends and staffs trade shows; travels in the field to interact with customers and to assess the competitive landscape.
  • Collaborates closely with sales, creative services and supply chain to ensure that revenue, brand awareness and customer satisfaction goals are met.
  • Collaborates with creative services team to design collateral and promotional materials for new and existing products including catalogues, product sheets, brochures, point-of-purchase, packaging, and digital marketing.
  • Directs price list management and collaborates with all team members to ensure accuracy.
  • Performs all other responsibilities that may be necessary to fulfill the duties associated with the position or as may be assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or marketing and 5 years experience in product marketing, preferably with an industrial product orientation.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' management experience related to running a project management team
  • Plan for a responsible succession plan for those partners who drop out of our approved partner category
  • Travel as needed (domestically and internationally) to evaluate viability, build vendor relationships, and continuously expand supply chain options
  • Document and maintain process for vetting of supply chain partners with Director of Sourcing (per Bunzl rules)
  • Manage best in class strategies to maximize profitability and minimize risk
  • Develop and maintain standard initial criteria
  • Develop and enforce regular re-assessment procedure for ongoing relationships
  • Maintain RRG’s Capabilities Matrix
  • Provide oversight and establish priorities for team members in order to support desired outcomes
  • Monitor and re-allocate staffing resources as needed
  • Retain or expand manufacturing supply chain partners
  • Achieve or exceed RRG’s annual goals with respect to supply chain operations
  • Achieve or exceed goals related to margin %’s (year over year improvements resulting from ever stronger vendor relationships)
  • Achieve reliable quality with managed lead times, manufacturing timelines, seamless experiences for our clients
  • RRG’s Supply Chain strategy understood by every RRG team member and decisions made in alignment with the strategy
  • New talent on-boarded and productive within 30 days
  • Risks effectively managed so that margin goals or met or exceeded on average

*Salary range for this role is $130-160K annually based on experience, education and geographic location.
