The Senior Technical Writer will support the Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC PAC) in the development and maintenance of all technical documentation associated with equipment and systems associated with Undersea Warfare (USW). Documents are required for both US Navy and Foreign Navies. Documents to be developed/updated include: • Software Requirements Specifications
• Prime Item Development Specifications
• Technical Manuals
• Operator/User Manuals
• Interface Description Specifications
• Interface Design Specifications
• Installation Control Documents
• Software Version Descriptions
• Assembly Procedures
• Slides/Presentations
• Meeting Minutes Support the Configuration Management (CM) process by updating the CM plan for hardware and software. Schedule, coordinate and conduct local Configuration Control Boards, and draft minutes of each CCB. Participate in Program Office CCBs for NIWC PAC systems or any systems that interface to NIWC PAC systems. Maintain the CM database for all parts and system configurations. Develop Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) using the Integrated Data Product Management (iPDM) site. Required Skills and Experience • Bachelor’s degree in English or Literature.
• At least five years of experience developing technical documents.
• Experience in coordinating with design staff (engineers) to interpret design information into design specifications, test specifications, user manuals, technical manuals, and operator manuals. Required Clearance Must possess a verifiable active DoD secret clearance. EOE M/F/D/V
