Special Operations Forces (SOF) Home Station Trainer - Fabricator (Part-time) Job Category: Training Time Type: Part time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Secret Employee Type: Part-Time On-Call Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Continental US * * * What You'll Get to Do: As a part-time on-call CACI-SOAS Special Operations Forces (SOF) Home Station Trainer - Fabricator, you will work up to 20 hours per week to develop and deliver training aids to enhance training as outlined in the PWS to USASOC units and their strategic partners including, but not limited to, Special Forces, Rangers, Civil Affairs, Psychological Operations, and Special Operations Aviation. You will be proficient with 3D printing technologies and CAD software to create 3D additive manufactured and other training aids to enhance realism and relevance to meet SOF-unique mission requirements. You will enhance training and enable SOF Home Station Trainers to set conditions that replicate the client's operational environment to mitigate Peer, Near-Peer, and other adversaries' anti-access/area denial challenges to movement and maneuver, and explosive threats' tactical surprise and strategic impacts. More About the Role You will also support the below tasks: * Collaborate closely with SOF Home Station Trainers to understand requirements and objectives.
* Utilize CAD software to create and modify 3D models.
* Operate and maintain 3D printers, including setup, calibration, and troubleshooting.
* Stay informed about advancements in 3D printing technologies and techniques and propose innovative solutions to improve processes.
* Enhance SOF effectiveness against improvised, conventional, and emerging threats and associated threat networks.
* Enable relevant and realistic improvised, conventional, and emergent threat training profiles.
* Enable relevant and realistic National Defense Strategy (NDS) 2+3 emerging threat and near-peer training profiles.
* Assists to implement the U.S. Army C-IED Strategy, USASOC C-IED Strategy, and HQDA CTIC guidance into Home Station and PMT for USASOC and their strategic partners to mitigate Peer, Near-Peer, and other adversaries' A2/AD challenges to movement and maneuver and explosive threats' tactical surprise and strategic impacts.
* Develop technical reports and briefings. You'll Bring These Qualifications * Current Secret clearance.
* Minimum 10 years of military experience.
* Demonstrated ability to operate and maintain various types of 3D printers (e.g., FDM, SLA, SLS).
* Strong proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Blender, etc.) for 3D modeling and design.
* Familiarity with post-processing techniques for 3D printed objects (e.g., sanding, painting, assembly).
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Effective communication and collaboration abilities, with a track record of working in multidiscipline teams.
* Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (MS Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
