We are looking for a Financial Analyst to ensure timely federal reporting and documentation requirements to maximize Federal Financial Participation (FFP). This position will be full-time and hybrid.
What You’ll Do
Prepare and assist with federal claiming logic updates and timely certification of the following federal expenditure reports and budget estimates submitted to the Medicaid Budget and Expenditures System (MBES): CMS-64, CMS-21
Prepare and assist with Medicaid and CHIP Financial system (MACFin): CMS-37, CMS-218
Prepare and assist with Grant Solutions.gov: OCSE-396, SF-425
Prepare and assist with PACAP
Prepare and assist with written policies and standard operating procedures
Provide staff training on accounting, reporting, and submittal of Federal Financial expenditures on the quarterly Federal Financial Reports
Audit the State's practices to comply with Federal requirements and are based on Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
What You'll Need
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
At least two years of experience in financial analysis
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
