We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Salesforce Developer to join our IT team. This position will be a full-time contract, hybrid in Trenton, NJ, and is a contract position.
What You'll Do
Design, develop, and implement Salesforce solutions with a strong emphasis on OmniStudio, including FlexCards, OmniScripts, DataRaptors, and Integration Procedures
Lead and support integrations between Salesforce and external systems using Salesforce Web Services APIs (SOAP, REST, Bulk API) and Metadata API
Configure, customize, and extend Salesforce declarative functionality (Flows, validation rules, security, layouts, objects) to meet NJDOE program office requirements
Collaborate with business and program stakeholders to gather, analyze, document, and translate requirements into functional and technical specifications
Develop, test, and deploy scalable Salesforce solutions while ensuring security, performance, and compliance standards are met
Create and maintain Salesforce dashboards and reports to support operational and executive decision-making
Retrieve, manipulate, and integrate data from Oracle databases and other external data sources
Lead technical design sessions, present solution options, and provide recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Execute and oversee testing strategies, deployments, and production releases with accuracy and reliability
Participate in an Agile development environment, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and daily stand-ups
Serve as a senior technical resource, mentoring junior developers and promoting Salesforce and OmniStudio best practices
Provide ongoing system support, enhancements, and issue resolution to ensure long-term stability and performance
What You'll Need
7+ years of experience working in the Salesforce declarative environment (Flows, Validation Rules, Process Automation)
7+ years of hands-on Salesforce configuration experience, including objects, fields, layouts, profiles, roles, and security
5+ years of OmniStudio experience (FlexCards, OmniScripts, DataRaptors, Integration Procedures)
7+ years of experience developing Salesforce integrations using Web Services APIs (SOAP, REST, Bulk API)
5+ years of Agile development experience, working collaboratively in self-directed teams
Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications
7+ years of experience in solution design, coding to specification, system landscape definition, and gap analysis
Proven ability to lead design sessions and clearly communicate design options to clients and stakeholders
7+ years of experience defining and executing testing strategies, deployments, and implementations
5+ years of experience creating Salesforce dashboards and reports
5+ years of experience retrieving and integrating data from Oracle databases
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
Experience collaborating with QA, security teams, vendors, and partners
Salesforce Developer and/or Administrator certification(s) preferred

$65 - $70 per hourThe pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
