Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Infection Preventionist RN to join our team at a hospital setting. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in preventing and controlling infections within the healthcare environment.
Serves as Hospital Infection Preventionist and implements the Hospital Infection Control program.
Position: Registered Nurse-Infection Preventionist
Duration: Initially for 13 weeks with possible extensions
Shift: Days, 5x8 Hours
Weekend: To Be Discussed
On Call: To Be Discussed
Skills & Abilities-
* Demonstrates the ability to use a personal computer and various software programs applicable to the position
* Demonstrates the ability to operate applicable office equipment
* Exhibits the ability to communicate effectively with hospital leadership, departments, & with the public
* Exhibits the ability to maintain confidentiality, think and act independently with minimal supervision
* Maintains regular, consistent and punctual attendance at the assigned job location
Experience:
* Requires extensive sitting with periodic standing and walking
* May be required to lift up to 20 pounds
* Requires significant use of personal computer, phone and general office equipment
* Needs adequate visual acuity, ability to grasp and handle objects
* Needs ability to communicate effectively through reading, writing, and speaking in person or telephone
* May require off-site travel
* Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing, Epidemiology or related field (or the equivalent)
* Five (5) years of experience in healthcare, with progressive experience in the field of infection prevention
