Make history with us.Lakeland PlantDepartment: MaintenanceJob Title: ELECTRO 2/Controls Tech Shift: Shift (Starting and ending times may vary as needed.)Pay Rate: $39.31Job Description:Responsible for the maintenance and repair of the plants controls systems as well as the plants mechanical and electromechanical equipment. Involved in fabrication, application, installation/repair of mechanical and electromechanical equipment. Interfaces with maintenance staff in trouble shooting problems related to the equipment and facility. Utilizing support systems such as contacting equipment manufactures support, technical manuals, and internal or external subject matter experts. Executing the MOC (Management of change) and providing documentation for the changes made to electrical or mechanical systems. Work with Contractors and Vendors to provide assistance in developing, designing and evaluating electrical controls and applications.Principal Accountabilities:1. Coordinates operation, maintenance, and repair activities to obtain optimum utilization of machines and equipment to include coordinating priorities, and waste reduction.2. Troubleshoot and repair problems in the bulk ingredients systems.3. Diagnoses causes of electrical, mechanical malfunction, failure of equipment, systems repair and replaces defective components through root cause analysis.4. Utilize industry standard practices and tools for testing electrical circuits and components to locate failures, faulty connections, root cause, and communicate details to team leaders.5. Support and follow the Lock Out / Tag out program.6. Interface with equipment operators and maintenance staff to ascertain problems with equipment and providing solutions.7. Must make electrical/mechanical diagnostic evaluation (troubleshooting) and implement corrective action without assistance from others.8. Supports fabrication and installation to ensure equipment and systems conform to engineering design, Federal and State codes and is diligent in reporting these issues to Maintenance and Engineering or Project manager through electronic methods.9. Competent in SAP to enter work orders, order parts for repair and parts allocation.10. Troubleshoots and repairs electrical/mechanical problems in robotic systems.11. Devises, selects, sets up, and operates electronic instrumentation.12. Installs wiring and electrical components to conform to all codes, regulations, and specifications.13. Performs preventive maintenance, maintains records, and interprets logged data for repair or replacement. Maintains records of repairs, calibrations, and tests.14. Perform scheduled Safety and Environmental inspections, ensure that any corrective or remedial actions are completed and maintain records of the process.15. Understand SCADA systems and software used to interface (IE: Wonderware, Intellution, ETC.)16. Competent with Servos controllers and systems.17. Can cross reference sensors, relays, servos and other electrical components.18. Ability to troubleshoot and repair heat systems and PID Loops.19. Competent in Refrigeration systems and controls20. Competent with Ethernet, DH, Modbus, and other communication protocol.21. Can use MS Office.22. Must adhere to all GMP and Food Safety Policies and Practices.23. Must have Electro 1 competencies.24. Familiar with Allen Bradley PLC's and associated Hardware/Software, Preferred.Job Complexity:1. General understanding and hands on experience with explosion proof and intrinsically safe work environments. Ability to interpret NEC and NFPA codes.2. Must read and interpret electrical, electronic, Ladder Logic drawings, schematics, blueprints, engineering drawings and sketches to determine problem and make appropriate repairs.3. Must fully understand and adhere to the ARC Flash & electrical shock prevention policy.4. Complete understanding of Plant electrical systems, including DC voltage and AC voltage from 24V to 480V.5. Instrumental in the training of Maintenance Technicians, Set Up Technician and Operators in performing repairs and adjustments.Job Specifications:1. High School diploma.2. Vocational trade school with focus on electrical, electronic or a related vocational trade. A technical school diploma in industrial controls preferred or 5 or more years' experience at this level.3. Ability to hook up to PLC's, download and upload programs, replace batteries with a PC and understand the program elements.4. Experience troubleshooting Servos and controllers.5. More than 5 years' experience troubleshooting PLC's using Ladder Logic and I/O.6. Experience using test equipment to troubleshoot sensor, motor/ motor controls and machine control devices, relay logic, and AC and DC safety and control circuits.7. Candidate must be willing to participate in continuous education to keep up with advance technologies.8.
