We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Career Preparation Planning Specialist to join our team. As a Career Preparation Planning Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting our Job Corps students who range from the ages of 16-25 in career planning and implementing programs based on each student's needs. Our students come from all walks of life, and having an empathic side is a plus.Responsibilities:- Assist Job Corps students in career planning and development- Develop and implement individualized career plans for each student- Provide lesson plans and community resources to support student success- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure student needs are met- Maintain accurate records of student progress and program outcomes- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practicesRequirements:- High School Diploma or experience in counseling, education, or related fields- Minimum of 2 years of experience in career planning and development- Strong communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Knowledge of community resources and services- Empathetic and patient approach to working with students from diverse backgroundsIf you are passionate about helping students achieve their career goals and have the skills and experience we are looking for, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity as our next Career Preparation Planning Specialist.Requirements:Qualifications: Minimum: Associate's degree in human services or a closely related field and current driver's license.Preferred: High School diploma or 2 years related professional work experience. Have one year of experience in career development, workforce development, counseling, sales, marketing, or a related field. Two or more years experience in career development, workforce development, counseling, sales, marketing, or related field.Knowledge: Experience using computers, word processing, and e-mail. Effective communication skills both oral and written. Ability to effectively relate to the student population. Skilled in counseling and motivating students toward vocational, education, and social development. High energy level. Familiarity with labor market trends and other related data. Familiarity with One-Stop Career Centers/Career Links. Must possess a valid driver's license.
