What You’ll Be Doing
- Coordinate and fulfill special banquet and event arrangements
- Communicate effectively with guests, staff, management, and other departments to ensure all guest needs are met
- Provide outstanding customer service for every guest, every time, including timely responses to guest inquiries and calls
- Address guest comments and concerns promptly to ensure resolution
- Ensure staff grooming and attire meet company standards; correct deficiencies as needed
- Plan events with new and existing clients via phone and in-person meetings to meet sales expectations
- Prepare, send, and manage event contracts
- Prepare guest charges accurately, review invoices, and collect payment when necessary
- Order supplies and linens for events
- Attend weekly management meetings
- Ensure all banquet equipment and facilities are prepared, clean, stocked, and in proper working condition based on anticipated business
- Supervise set-up and breakdown of function rooms; ensure readiness for the next event
- Inspect table set-ups for cleanliness, organization, and compliance with group requirements and company standards
- Maintain calm, positive verbal communication to ensure smooth event execution, quality service, and adherence to health regulations and corporate standards
Skills You’ll Bring
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact effectively with guests and staff at all levels
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with sound and projection systems is a plus
- Experience organizing and planning special or fundraising events
- Prior managerial or supervisory experience preferred
- Prior Point-of-Sale (POS) system experience preferred
