What You’ll Be Doing

  1. Coordinate and fulfill special banquet and event arrangements
  2. Communicate effectively with guests, staff, management, and other departments to ensure all guest needs are met
  3. Provide outstanding customer service for every guest, every time, including timely responses to guest inquiries and calls
  4. Address guest comments and concerns promptly to ensure resolution
  5. Ensure staff grooming and attire meet company standards; correct deficiencies as needed
  6. Plan events with new and existing clients via phone and in-person meetings to meet sales expectations
  7. Prepare, send, and manage event contracts
  8. Prepare guest charges accurately, review invoices, and collect payment when necessary
  9. Order supplies and linens for events
  10. Attend weekly management meetings
  11. Ensure all banquet equipment and facilities are prepared, clean, stocked, and in proper working condition based on anticipated business
  12. Supervise set-up and breakdown of function rooms; ensure readiness for the next event
  13. Inspect table set-ups for cleanliness, organization, and compliance with group requirements and company standards
  14. Maintain calm, positive verbal communication to ensure smooth event execution, quality service, and adherence to health regulations and corporate standards

Skills You’ll Bring

  1. Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact effectively with guests and staff at all levels
  2. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  3. Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with sound and projection systems is a plus
  5. Experience organizing and planning special or fundraising events
  6. Prior managerial or supervisory experience preferred
  7. Prior Point-of-Sale (POS) system experience preferred

Job Details

  1. Full-time position
  2. Rotating schedule including some evenings, weekends, and holidays
  3. Hours may vary during peak seasons
