Requirements:

Job Responsibilities

- Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheets promptly and accurately.

- Process payroll in a timely manner and ensure proper accounting of all payroll-related transactions.

- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable duties, including invoicing and collections.

- Assist with budget preparation and track expenses against the budget.

- Record cash receipts and handle bank deposits.

- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.

- Maintain the petty cash fund and perform regular reconciliations.

- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements.

- Work closely with the accountant or auditor during annual audits.

- Protect the organization's value by keeping information confidential.

- Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested.

- Use bookkeeping software, spreadsheets, and databases effectively.


Job Requirements

- Proven bookkeeping experience

- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

- Experience with accounting software such as Yardi

- Ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records

- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers

- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports

- Knowledge of bookkeeping practices, as well as generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

- Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information

- Strong organizational and time management skills

- Attention to detail and ability to multitask

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

- Availability to work part-time hours, with a willingness to work extra hours during peak seasons or as needed

- Prior experience with payroll processing is a plus


Compensation:

· Compensation $21 - $25/hour DOE. Benefits include paid vacation, sick leave, health insurance, and 401k
