Job Summary We are seeking an Associate System Administrator who is well-versed in current information technologies, including computer applications, operating systems, system architectures, and networking protocols. This role requires strong analytical skills to evaluate workflows, organization, and planning, and to develop corrective action plans as needed. Key Responsibilities * Analyzes information requirements.
* Analytically and systematically evaluate problems of workflows, organization, and planning and develop appropriate corrective action plans.
* Maintain the integrity of the operating system environment.
* Perform system software upgrades including planning and scheduling, testing, and coordination.
* Perform workstation and server administration setup.
* Coordinate disk space planning and management.
* Maintain growth statistics, space forecasts, tape libraries, and software and hardware inventories.
* Perform data backups and recoveries.
* Monitor and maintain continuity with system software licensing and maintenance agreements.
* Provide recommendations regarding hardware and system software planning and budgeting.
* Maintain production change control schedule and participate in change control.
Minimum Requirements * 2+ years of proven relevant experience is required.
* An active secret security clearance is required.
* One of the following certifications is required: Linux Essentials, CompTIA Linux+, or CompTIA Server+.
* A CompTIA Security+ CE certification is required.
* A high school diploma or GED is required.
