The contractor shall perform NIPRNet and SIPRNet system administration services for all hardware and software supporting HQ SDDC Operations and Business Division supported Systems. These systems are located at HQ SDDC, Scott AFB, IL. The contractor may also be required to travel to other locations to perform system administration services for hardware and software supporting HQ SDDC Operations and Business Division supported Systems. The contractor shall identify a lead system administrator to the Government to serve as a focal point for this task.
On-site hours of operation for this task are 0730 to 1630 Central Time, Monday through Friday, excluding Federal holidays.. On-call hours are from 1631 to 0729 Central Time, Monday through Friday, and 24 hours per day during weekends and holidays. The Government reserves the right to extend the on-site hours during contingencies or network emergencies. The contractor shall respond to software or hardware problems within 30 minutes of initial reporting during on-site hours. If the Government extends the on-site hours during contingencies or network emergencies, the contractor shall respond to software or hardware problems within 30 minutes of initial reporting. The response time for on-call problems is 2 hours to begin work. In the event of systems outages/interruptions of critical IT services, contractor personnel shall be required to report to work on-site. Contractor personnel supporting Task 7 shall continue to provide support during contingencies, emergencies, and exercises. System Administration of Active Directory
The contractor shall provide day-to-day system administration and technical support for all NIPR & SIPR Active Directory operations, to include the following actions:
- Manage Active Directory OU structure, Create, delete, and manage user and computer accounts. Create, delete, and manage security groups and permissions, Create, delete, and manage Group Policy Objects process. Installation, Maintenance and Operation of Server Platforms
- Install, configure, and maintain Army-approved server operating systems, Diagnose and resolve software and hardware conflicts for host operating system.
- Review server event logs to identify abnormalities or diagnosis. Monitor and optimize the performance of the server processes
- Provide technical specifications for recommended hardware purchases/upgrades. Ensure server operating system meets all necessary service pack and patching levels
- Configure and manage virtual servers using current SDDC virtualization environment. Work with server application/program users to resolve conflicts between operating system and hosted applications. Install and implement Secure Socket Layer (SSL) and DoD PKI. System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
The contractor shall perform the following actions:
- Create, test, and deploy 3rd party software packages to meet IAVA requirements. The contractor shall either create a deployment option or deploy an existing package.
- Create, test, and deploy 3rd party software packages to support SDDC requirements. The contractor shall either create a deployment option or deploy an existing package.
- Manage SCCM console to monitor for client or system faults and correct them, if necessary- Manage SCUP deployments via SCCM console,- Assist in troubleshooting system imaging problems
- Deploy Operating System (OSD) images via SCCM console
- Create, test and deploy Microsoft updates via SCCM console. The contractor shall either create a deployment option or deploy an existing package.
- Generate reports from SCCM, to include asset management, software inventory and IAVA compliance
- Work with 7th Signal Command SCCM working group to resolve SCCM deployment package issues Installation, Maintenance and Operations of Core Services - Configure and maintain DHCP server, to include configuration and maintenance of IP scopes, Configure and maintain SMTP services for any devices requiring “to” email capability.
- Provide full system administration of NAS/SAN storage devices, to include managing NTFS permissions, replicating data to disaster recovery site, troubleshooting client connectivity issues, upgrading firmware, monitoring logs, managing disk space allocations, provision, and provisioning, configuring, and maintaining volumes, CIFS shares, iSCSI LUNs and NFS storage.
- Manage Army user account request process for Army 365 service on NIPR/SIPR. Manage Army NPE account request process for Army 365 service on NIPR/SIPR. Manage Army user account request process for Automated Message Handling System (AMHS) Trouble Ticketing System : The contractor shall monitor and resolve all system administration trouble tickets entered in the Government-provided trouble ticketing system. Management of Backup and Recovery Services: Manage system backups, restore, and recovery capabilities for all IMO servers and file storage devices to meet SDDC data protection policies. Manage data replication to disaster recovery site and ensure daily replication. Manage data protection hardware and software Documentation :
The contractor shall develop (only if necessary), maintain, and update:
- All system administration documentation, to include system design description, baseline hardware architecture chart, rack elevation diagrams, hardware/software systems configuration, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and necessary troubleshooting guides.
- Necessary server-specific DISA STIG documentation used as part of the system accreditation package with periodic reviews. Database Administration
The contractor shall provide Database Administration support services for all IMO systems, to include:
- Maintaining database server and all database instances supporting IMO system applications, Installing, configuring, and maintaining SQL Databases servers and instances.
- Implementing DISA STIG requirements for all IMO databases and instances, Tuning/optimizing databases, maintaining database interfaces, monitoring database use and size, and archiving databases, as required Required certification : IAT II, CCNA Security, CSA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+CE, SSCP WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?
