TECH FIELD OPS MECH WITH SECURITY CLEARANCE

Job Description Roles and Responsibilities: Performs test and checkout of mechanical, electrical, propulsion, structural, hydraulic subsystems and complete systems located at field locations away from primary company operations. Verifies and corrects such things as welds, Sheetmetal assemblies, controls, alignment of equipment. Frequent support to the Redstone Arsenal STORM customer and other user communities as a Field Technician. MLRS Launcher responsibilities will be maintaining/troubleshooting M270, M270A1, and HIMARS vehicles. Working on Military vehicles, MLRS, Bradley, HUMVEE, HEMITT, etc. Render technical guidance to resolve difficult and unusual maintenance problems. Provide an analysis of maintenance program and recommendations that may be beneficial. Qualifications and Education Requirements: Level 2: BS+3-5 YRS or MS+0-3 YRS (Minimum HS Diploma / GED w/8-10 YRS) Mandatory: Familiar with gasoline and diesel engines. Troubleshooting skills on vehicles. Desired: Familiar with Redstone Arsenal, AL operations. Familiar with engine and diesel engines. Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on M270, M270A1, and HIMARS military vehicles. Auto repair or diesel technician or mechanic working on Diesel vehicles and engines. Perform operation, maintenance and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment used in material handling and ordnance testing, including systems related to warehouse vehicles (forklifts, tugs, small trailers, etc.). Perform test and checkout of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic subsystems and complete systems located at field locations away from primary company operations. Perform preventive maintenance checks on safety equipment. Will need the following Physicals while on assignment. 1.Need Forklift Physical 2. Need Government climatic physical 3. Need Lockheed Martin Spirometer Physical 4. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.
