Senior Business Data Analyst

Position Description
Are you passionate about transforming data into actionable insights? As a Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. You will be responsible for creating comprehensive requirements, use cases, and design documents that adhere to project standards and clearly articulate solutions. Your expertise will be essential in guiding clients through design documents and collaborating with the team to address any review comments. Additionally, you will be involved in all phases of functional testing, ensuring that solutions meet the highest standards of quality and function.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Collaborates with internal business and external vendor constituents to conduct analytic assignments in support of requested business solution(s).
• Creates a technology roadmap in support of a business strategy with business leadership across multiple departments.
• Ensures that appropriate requirements, associated business rules and data standards, and technical specifications for requested solutions are documented.
• Develops design recommendations commensurate of requested solution, ensuring recommendations comply with corporate architectural standards and federal and state regulations and/or mandates pertaining to the privacy and security of the company's core data assets.
• Facilitates review of design with governing committees.
• Plans, develops, and implements solution designs of significant scope and complexity.
• Solutions may include application or extract program code, production reports and analytic finding reports. Independently develops solutions of considerable scope and complexity.
• Develops and trains IT and business personnel on test strategies, plans, and scripts and executes test procedures to ensure compliance of developed solution with documented specifications. Reports test results to project stakeholders.
• Collaborates to maintain core reference domain content via master data management tools. Monitors core dataset quality thresholds to identify dataset content issues that require resolution.
• Initiates and manages constituent-specific data remediation projects to resolve prioritized issues.
• Monitors production processes of previously implemented information management solutions to proactively achieve error-free performance standards.
• Performs analysis to establish root cause(s) of identified issues through implementation and documentation of necessary modifications.
• Perform out-of-the-box thinking, collaborate with others, and make a difference every day!
• Independently develop SAS and/or SQL queries, Excel pivot tables, and other analytic tools to explore and summarize results
• Conduct other analyses as needed to support the identification of gaps, variation, and other key performance indicators of reimbursement trends
• Demonstrate problem solving aptitude through critique of analytic methodologies and studies
• Demonstrate strong business problem comprehension, by developing analytic use cases (Who? What? Why?) that accurately capture business needs
• Apply a high level of QA rigor, proactively leveraging peer review and external validation sources
• Develop documentation and methodologies for analyses and deliverables
• Meets assigned timelines and escalates risks/barriers as needed
• Establish strong business relationships, and interface with stakeholders collaboratively

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Proficient in gathering requirements and working with business owners.
Minimum of 5 years of Oracle, SQL, PL-SQL, Teradata
Minimum of 4+ years of Healthcare Payer experience.
• Expert in Requirement documentation and articulating them with design, development and testing teams.
• Expert in writing, Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Use Cases and Modeling techniques.
• Ability to organize and manage large user workshops
• Expert in using requirement management tools like Rational Req Pro etc.
• Excellent communication and thought leadership skills
• Should have 7+ years of business analysis experience
• Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work with diverse personality types and understand technical issues.
Hybrid and travel required to Canton, MA

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $94,400- $165,200.
