Procure inventory/supplies and issue purchase orders in accordance with state and federal regulations, company policies and procedures, including policies related to food safety and quality. Supervise the logistics staff and inventory management program.What You'll Do:Complete all required AIB food safety and quality modules on an annual basis or within one year of start date.Adhere to all company safety and quality standards and procedures identified in the areas covering GMP s, HACCP, FDA, OSHA, AIB and BRC.Participate in weekly plant inspections and audits. Investigate and issue corrective actions for any food safety, quality or process deviation as outlined in the BRC manual.Monitor inventory position and procure goods as needed including inventory and supplies (office, operating, maintenance, sanitation, logistics and quality assurance) according to established policies and procedures.Process customer orders.Develop production schedule to optimize inventory management program.Communicate production schedule and changes to operations department.Coordinate deliveries with customers.Coordinate in-bound traffic with suppliers.Manage transportation and material handling equipment and third-party carrier relationships.Conduct physical inventories and cycle counts according to established policies and procedures.Issue purchase orders according to established policies and procedures.Maintain inventory records and reconcile discrepancies.Supervise warehouse and shipping and receiving staff.Assist with other duties as assigned.What You'll Bring:Bachelor degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or related degree. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.Minimum of five (5) years experience in a warehouse or logistics position with evidence of increasing levels of responsibility. Experience in a manufacturing plant highly preferred. Experience with third-party carriers and DOT regulations required.Previous experience in a formal or informal supervisory role.Evidence of ability to manage multiple priorities, with a history of completing projects on time and within budget.Demonstrate verbal and written communication skills.Demonstrated computer proficiency with advanced Excel and Word application skills.Previous experience with ERP/MRP systems, preferably with experience in QAD.Evidence of analytical and problem resolutions skills.Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts, negotiate resolutions and influence outcomes.Ability to work non-traditional shifts and extended days as needed.The ability to lift and move weighted materials (50 lb min.).Experience in a production or manufacturing environment strongly preferred.Where You'll Work:Welcome to the heart of pizza innovation!
