Schwab’s Enterprise Architecture team is looking for a talented Solution Architect to join a centralized security solution architecture function. Under the direction of the CTO and in conjunction with Schwab Cyber Security Services, Enterprise Architecture is responsible for solution architecture of enterprise impactful security solutions across Schwab.

 

As an Enterprise Security Solutions Architect, you will have responsibility for ensuring that Schwab has robust security solutions implemented across the entire firm to ensure that Schwab is able to manage cyber events with minimal impact.

 

You will be part of a team of thought leaders responsible for developing security solution architectures, publishing Software Architecture Documents, participating in architecture forums, and developing technical standards and strategies. You will present to technology leaders and business executives, providing leadership around technical solutions.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining the security architecture vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with business objectives and security requirements.
  • Providing guidance and oversight to solution architects in designing robust, reliable, secure, and high-performance solutions that align with the enterprise architecture and security standards.
  • Conducting regular reviews of architecture artifacts, projects, and solutions to ensure compliance with architectural and security standards, policies, and best practices.

What you have


Required:

  • Demonstrated enterprise architecture leadership for security processes and programs at the strategic, blueprint, and project level, including experience with of NIST-CSF, PCI, and other security frameworks.
  • Broad and deep knowledge of IT technology and trends, domain knowledge and experience in, cloud-based architectures, application architecture, infrastructure architecture, and security architecture.
  • Experience with performance engineering of low latency applications and educating teams on non-functional requirements to achieve web scale reliability.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and effect changes that have broad and long-term impact on the firm and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Background in consulting roles with the proven ability to work across multiple levels of the organization from developers to executive
  • Demonstrated success and progression as a technology professional in a large commercial enterprise.
  • Ability to innovate and lead explorations into technologies and strategies, including familiarity of a broad range of industry trends, with experience designing the future state and roadmap, accounting for near-term product deliverables.

Preferred:

  • Experience in financial services vertical or other highly regulated industry

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
