The Identity Engineering team within Cyber Security supports Authorization and Authentication services for workforce members across Schwab. These services are critical to the Firm’s operations and risk control posture.

 

We are seeking an experienced Lead Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer in our Test team to ensure our applications and services meet or exceed functional and non-functional requirements. As lead, this role requires organization and hands-on experience with manual and automated test frameworks. The successful candidate will help promote the automation adoption and provide expertise within the team to drive success.

What you have


Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or similar area of study
  • 7+ years of hands-on QA engineering and testing experience with progressive responsibilities/scope including but not limited to designing and executing API, UI, Scheduled Jobs, and DB test scenarios/cases both manually and through automation.
  • 5+ years of experience with leading onshore and offshore test and/or development teams.
  • 5+ years of experience with QA Automation development toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software.
  • 3+ years of experience with Agile methodologies and collaboration tools.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Advanced expertise in quality assurance testing activities for the designated business area to develop effective testing practices to confirm integrity and reliability of business operations.
  • Demonstrable experience leading and mentoring junior staff or other team members without having direct personnel authority.
  • Able to effectively communicate essential information across multiple departments and groups including technical and non-technical audiences through written and oral channels.
  • Able to anticipate future trends, challenges, and need when identifying, evaluating, and resolving unique and substantial testing needs.
  • Ability to apply a broad range of knowledge, skills, and experiences to assignments that are received in the form of tactical plans and objective.
  • Experience and understanding of overall software development processes including business analysis, development, testing, maintenance, and improvement of software.
  • Experience and understanding of techniques such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and Testing Frameworks.
  • Experience supporting Cyber Security tools/applications, including but not limited to Identity and Access Management (IAM) technologies such as SailPoint Identity IQ (IIQ), PING ID, and/or HYPR or related applications in Cyber Security.
