Schwab Asset Management Solutions (SAMS) technology team is looking for a skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our team. You will own the Test Automation planning, preparation, and execution as part of the SAMS Operations technology team supporting the launch of new investment products for retail and advised clients. The ideal candidate has several years of experience as a SDET and a proven track record of Test Automation success in an Agile, fast paced environment, as well as a solid background in Financial Services / Investing. This is an opportunity for a talented programmatic tester to join a growing engineering team within Schwab Asset Management Solutions Technology and help our client’s own their tomorrow.
- You are proficient in ETL Testing with knowledge of transformation logic, data reconciliation and end-to-end ETL processes.
- You have experience in profiling data to ensure data quality and consistency.
What you have
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of strong, demonstrable experience in test automation as a software developer or SDET
- 2+ years of experience in test automation using Python.
- 1+ years of experience using with ETL tools (i.e. Informatica PowerCenter, SSIS and Talend)
- 3+ years of experience writing SQL statements
- Good understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and its relevance to QA process
- Full proficiency with testing RESTful web services using tools like Postman
- Familiar with parsing JSON and XML.
- Comfortable with the full Atlassian toolset (Jira, Confluence, Zephyr, Bitbucket)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Good understanding of investment/trading life cycle, use cases, and data requirements to support the lifecycle
- Experiecne in UI automation testing using Selenium
- Experience in Snowflake testing
- Experience with enterprise automation tools (i.e. Control-M)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or similar area of study
- Experience with cloud Computing technologies (AWS, GCP, PCF etc.)
