No supervisory/management authority Senior Communications Specialist This position requires an active Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance to be considered. The Senior Communications Specialist will assist with CBP's Communications and Public Affairs tasks. There are two positions, one is regional, and one is remote Compensation & Benefits: Estimated Starting Salary Range for Senior Communications Specialist: $98,000 to $118,000. Pay commensurate with experience. Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice. Senior Communications Specialist Responsibilities Include: * Equip intra-governmental partners with information to support the planning, construction, and maintenance of infrastructure for USBP and AMO, maximizing political and fiscal support. * Develop and implement communication strategies, coordinate information dissemination, and manage stakeholder outreach. * Oversee and update the PMO SharePoint homepage (or its replacement), ensuring accurate content and spotlighting PMO accomplishments. * Draft, edit, and disseminate information on PMO activities, successes, and developments; research and collaborate with staff for content development. * Manage the production and distribution of PMO highlights, consolidating updates from various projects and initiatives. * Draft speeches, talking points, and public affairs materials; write and edit guidance, news articles, and fact sheets to promote PMO's leadership and sustainability. * Create content for presentations, Town Halls, and Congressional hearings; assist in drafting the annual expenditure plan. * Maintain relationships with CBP OPA, OCA, OCC, SLT, and key service providers (USACE, GSA, FAA); coordinate high-profile events and manage media and public inquiries. * Develop and maintain SOPs for events, support public outreach meetings, and collaborate with CBP Office of Public Affairs for response development. * Perform other duties as assigned.
